Friends and neighbors, join us at the County Fair. Everyone is welcome to get into the fun and festivites. There are plenty of things to see and just as many things to do.

The 2010 County Fair is happy to announce that we are having a RODEO this year. The "Painted Pony Rodeo" will be held inside the Show Place Arena and, even better, there will be NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE for general seating for the competition and show. Your regular paid admisson to the County Fair will allow you into the Arena for the Rodeo. We will have a limited amount of reserved ring-side seating for an additional charge. Also new to the 2010 County Fair will be the appearance of the Suttler Post Farm Clydesdales. You can see them on the racetrack surrounding the infield. They will also be making an appearance inside the Show Place Arena during the Rodeo.

And, on Sunday, September 12, we are having "Military Appreciation Day". All active duty military and their families will be admitted to the Fair for FREE. More info can be found at Military Day.

If your little one is three-years-old or younger, you might consider entering them in the BEAUTIFUL BABY CONTEST.

There's a variety of ENTERTAINMENT and ATTRACTIONS available for all ages, from magic, to dance exhibitions, to pig & duck races. There's a horse pull competition, a chain saw artist, a marionette show, and more, more, more.

Also, this year, we again are proud to help promote the MD CHIP program. The Child Identification Program (CHIP) collects basic identification data for each child in your family and provides you with a permanent record on paper and on a CD.

And don't forget the CARNIVAL, where your family can enjoy the rides or maybe play a game and win a prize.

The COUNTY FAIR is located at the Prince George's Equestrian Center and the Show Place Arena, near the intersection of Pennsyvania Avenue (MD Route 4) and US Route 301 in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. There is plenty of FREE parking and free shuttle buses are provided at the Fair.

If you are a county student working toward your Community Service hours, the County Fair would be a good place to earn them.
But we can use VOLUNTEERS of all ages to help, starting on Labor Day and continuing throughout the Fair.
